CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK

Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts on January 28 and ends in February 3. The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2018 is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” Our school celebration calendar is:

1/28 Sunday School Family Masses 8:00am and 9:30am

1/29 Student appreciation day.

1/30 Family appreciation day.

1/31 Priest/deacon/sisters appreciation day.

1/31 Open House 3pm to 7pm

2/1 Teacher appreciation day.

2/2 Family Picnic from Noon to 1:30

Through these events, our school focuses on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.

On February second our school is celebrating family with a picnic. As a fundraising for the 7th grade we are going to bring the water ball game we had at the Parish Carnival at a discounted price of $2. We are also going to have other games for the family to play. We are going to have pizza and drinks for sale.

We need volunteers for Wednesday 1/31 for the priest/deacon/sister appreciation day, 2/1 evening to set-up for the family picnic and on the day of the picnic to run the games and clean-up. If you are in need of service hours and/or want to participate, please call the office. With your help we can celebrate the joy of Catholic Education!
