Second and Third Grade
Second grade is the year for First Reconciliation and First Communion. Religion is a strong component for this year. The process of reading is completed during these two grades, phonetics and spelling are an important part of this grade. They begin receiving letter grades!
Meet Mrs. Taylor
Hello. My name is Karen Taylor. I have taught for 5 years and joined Saint Catherine on 2019-20. I possess a teaching credential from Cal State Northridge. Before becoming a school teacher, I tutored in grades TK – Junior High, and was a substitute teacher for both public and private schools.
I also taught ballet, and dance movement to children. In my early years, I was a professional ballet dancer with the Los Angeles Ballet Company, and studied on scholarship at the Juilliard School in New York City.
Teaching is my passion and I love passing on the learning to students here at Saint Catherine of Siena.
